  • Fault: Improper head position Cause: Lifting the head too high or looking forward instead of down Effect: Increases drag and slows down the swimmer Correction: Keep the head in a neutral position and look down towards the bottom of the pool.
  • Fault: Kicking with the knees instead of the hips Cause: Lack of hip flexibility or poor technique Effect: Slows down the swimmer and causes excessive strain on the knees Correction: Focus on a fluid and efficient hip-driven kick, with the knees remaining close together.
  • Fault: Holding the breath instead of exhaling underwater Cause: Poor breathing technique Effect: Causes tension and restricts oxygen intake, leading to fatigue Correction: Exhale continuously underwater while turning the head to inhale.
  • Fault: Over-rotating the body Cause: Overcompensating during breathing or poor body position Effect: Increases drag and slows down the swimmer Correction: Maintain a balanced and streamlined body position while rotating the body just enough to breathe.
