Learning to swim can be a great experience and a valuable skill to have. There are
several techniques for regaining your feet when you are in the front or back position
in the water. Here are some steps you can follow to regain your feet:
Front position:
Float on your back and relax.
Put your arms out in front of you and kick your legs.
As your body moves forward, start to bend your knees and bring your feet toward the surface of the water.
When your feet touch the bottom, push off the floor and stand up straight. Back position:
Start by floating on your stomach.
Reach your arms out in front of you and kick your legs.
As you move forward, bend your knees and bring your feet under you.
When your feet touch the bottom, push off the floor and stand up straight. Remember to always swim in a safe and supervised area, and practice these techniques with a swim instructor or partner until you feel confident in the water.
